The new XR Strategy has been unveiled across the movement’s platforms and toured the UK with Zoom calls and well attended face-to-face meetings. The response has been amazing: rebels fired up to build the movement and get ready for the first rebellion of the year beginning on 9th April.

The trial is underway for three XR members who stopped a DLR train at Shadwell station in 2019. Phil Kingston, 85, Reverend Sue Parfitt, 79 and Father Martin Newell, 54 will argue the action was a proportionate response to the escalating climate crisis and a lawful protest under the Human Rights Act.

XR UK is a movement of equality, liberation and emancipation. While XR UK will form alliances with a broad range of groups, many of whom will have different and distinct objectives, XR UK will not form alliances with any group which promotes an oppressive or discriminatory agenda or whose aims and objectives are otherwise incompatible with XR UK's principles and values.

XR UK Newsletter November 2021 COP26 Time to Act 120 world leaders and 2,000 delegates have assembled for the 13-day UN-sponsored event in Glasgow. They will dine on a largely plant-based Scottish diet but accommodation may be hard to find. There are reports that some flats are being let for up to £36,000 per week.
