RFU silent on due diligence as Extinction Rebellion “red card” floody insurers Allianz at rugby final
The Rugby Football Union has failed so far to respond to questions about the due diligence it carries out when selecting suitable sponsors. Extinction Rebellion put the questions to the RFU in writing on Thursday ahead of the rugby final at Twickenham this weekend.

News UK window-breakers trial postponed
The climate protectors accused of breaking the windows at the offices of Rupert Murdoch’s News UK, publishers of tabloid The Sun, had their trial postponed on the day it was due to begin. Southwark Crown Court said they had overbooked and there was not enough court space to hear the trial. Consequently the case was postponed until 16 November 2026 - some four and a half years after the action.

Climate protectors accused of breaking News UK windows to go on trial
Five people go on trial on Monday 12 May at Southwark Crown Court for alleged conspiracy to commit criminal damage at the headquarters of News UK (formerly News International) in July 2022. Two carefully broke windows while the other three flyposted newspaper articles. The Sun, The Times and other News UK outlets are suppressing facts about the climate crisis and peddling climate delayism. We need an urgent media revolution so people are told the truth about the climate emergency leading to more ambitious action.

Protestors blockade Farnborough Airport to protest plans to double private jet flights
Local residents and climate activists blocked Farnborough Airport this week to protest against the proposed expansion of the airport which will almost double the number of private jet flights to 70,000 a year, in a move which blatantly ignores the climate crisis.
