Silva Rawnsley, 18, student from Glastonbury
Silva, who turned 18 just two months before her arrest during the 2019 April Rebellion, was charged under Section 14 of the Public Order Act and tried on 13th January 2020 at City of London Magistrates’ Court. She was found guilty and given a twelve month conditional discharge and £100 court costs.
“If my arrest and trial has had any affect, or made any steps to get the message out there, communicating the seriousness of it, making it less of a taboo, then it’s all been worth it.”
