Where do we find the courage to step up?  - Extinction Rebellion UK

Where do we find the courage to step up?

What kind of courage is needed as the world enters an era of climate breakdown? Where do we find the resolve to continue taking action when we see governments and corporations pursuing policies that will worsen the impacts of the climate crisis?

Activism often appears to be the territory of an intrepid and rebellious minority, but what if we look at the challenges posed by the climate crisis as issues that demand care and responsibility? Who then is able to view the fight for a livable planet as their work?

In this conversation recorded on the eve of the April 2022 Rebellion, theologian Carmody Grey, anthropologist Justin Kenrick, and Extinction Rebellion activist Clare Farrell question what it means to be an activist and ask where people from all walks of life can find the courage to step up.
