Tim was first arrested on 21st April 2019 on Waterloo Bridge during the 2019 April Rebellion. He was tried at City of London Magistrates’ Court on 27th January 2020, found guilty and received a nine month conditional discharge and £300 court costs. He was arrested again in Trafalgar Square during the 2019 October Rebellion and released without charge.

Tim was arrested a third time on 5th September 2020 at the blockade of the Murdoch-owned printworks at Broxbourne for the Free the Press action and charged with Obstruction of the Highway. He pleaded not guilty on 6th October at St Albans Magistrates’ Court and is due to be tried on 24th May 2021. His fourth arrest was on 8th September 2020 outside the Houses of Parliament during the 2020 September Rebellion. He was tried on 5th March at City of London Magistrates’ Court and received a 12 month conditional discharge and £107 court costs.

“I have given up a career in teaching because we are facing an unprecedented emergency and the existing education system only serves, despite the good will of most educators, to indoctrinate young people with an economic ideology of competition, fear and self-interest.

We can respond to the climate and ecological emergency but we must act together and accept the radical changes that we all need to make. The government is failing us and our democracy is broken so civil disobedience is our only option.”
