Marijn, who is originally from the Netherlands and was a company director before working full time for XR, was arrested in Oxford Circus on 16 April 2019 under Section 14 of the Public Order Act. She pleaded not guilty and was tried on 10 February 2020 at City of London Magistrates’ Court. The judge gave her a nine month conditional discharge and ordered her to pay £640 court costs.
