Melvyn was arrested at Oxford Circus during the 2019 April Rebellion under Section 14 of the Public Order Act. He was tried on 14th January 2020 at City of London Magistrates’ Court and found guilty. The judge gave him a nine month conditional discharge and ordered him to pay £380 court costs. He was arrested again at the London City Airport action during the 2019 October Rebellion, pleaded guilty and was given a six month conditional discharge and £100 court costs.
