BIOGRAPHIES

George Marshall George Marshall is the founder of Climate Outreach, Europe’s leading specialists in climate change public engagement and communications, with a strong track record in reaching new and non-green audiences. George has worked for 30 years at all levels of the environmental movement, from the British direct action movement in the 1990s, as a senior campaigner for Greenpeace US and the Rainforest Foundation, and as an strategic advisor to governments and international institutions. He strongly believes that real lasting change has always needed a range of sectors and tactics, a broad based social mandate with alliances across the political spectrum. He is the author of Don’t Even Think About It: Why our Brains are Wired to Ignore Climate Change and Carbon Detox.

Sarah Lunnon is a member of Extinction Rebellion’s Political Circle and is a frequent spokesperson for the movement. She is a former Green Party Councillor for Stroud. 

Sara Zaltash is an artist and diviner, and coordinator of Extinction Rebellion UK Vision Sensing Circle. They became well known during London’s April 2019 Rebellion after offering their critically acclaimed adaptation of the Islamic Call to prayer in front of the pink boat at Oxford Circus. 

Liam Norton is an electrician from South London who first came into contact with Extinction Rebellion at the blockade of five London bridges in November 2018. He has been involved with various actions and been a spokesperson for the movement since. 

Rupert Read is a member of Extinction Rebellion’s Political Circle and a frequent spokesperson for the movement. He is an associate professor of philosophy at University of East Anglia, a former Green Party Councillor for Norwich and a national parliamentary and European candidate for the Party.

Clare Farrell is an activist, co-founder of Extinction Rebellion and lecturer in sustainable fashion at Central Saint Martins. She helped to develop Extinction Rebellion’s visual language and distinctive emergency messaging, and has been a spokesperson for the movement since it’s launch in autumn 2018.
