Extinction Rebellion – Lord Tebbit bumps Protestor with his car
An alarming incident has been reported from the North end of Tower Bridge from one of Extinction Rebellion’s protest groups – that Lord Tebbit bumped the leg of a protestor with his car as he forced his way through a ‘Rebel for Life’ banner.
Annie Risner, a 21 year old working student from Kent, said:
“We had just gone onto a crossing when Lord Tebbit was approaching us, he was in the first car in line, he saw us, then 20 seconds later he drove forward slowly, with intent to keep moving into us.”
“His car pushed into our banner, hit against me on my leg. The police stepped in because it looked like he was not going to stop, he was continuing to drive forward.
“We stepped back to prevent anyone getting seriously hurt.”
