Frank Gresslin, 51, web developer from North London
Frank, who is originally from Germany and has been living in London for over 20 years, was arrested on 21st April 2019 on Waterloo Bridge during the 2019 April Rebellion, after the police officers he approached to ask about their impressions of XR decided to arrest him. He was charged under Section 14 of the Public Order Act and tried on 7th January 2020 at City of London Magistrates’ Court. He was found guilty and given a nine month conditional discharge and £320 court costs.
Frank was arrested again on 14th September 2019 for taking part in Heathrow Pause, an independent action, not XR. He was charged with conspiracy to commit public nuisance but the prosecution was dropped due to insufficient evidence.
