The Dirty Water Campaign highlights the need for government and industry to act urgently to stop poisoning, and then start cleaning up coastal waters and waterways across the UK.
Dirty Water launches waves of public information and action aimed at engaging and mobilising those who are passionate about addressing the issue of water pollution. We are leveraging the success of previous campaigns and our three day protest event held in London this year, aka ‘The Big One’, to create alliances and work together with communities for change. We’re emphasising the importance of building alliances, inspiring and resonating with actions, and mobilising a larger base of support. We will show the public that XR is about more than roadblocks and glue, we are in your community and we care.
Wave 4 – Sun, Sea, Sand & Sewage
Wave 4 of Dirty Water begins with a UK-wide banner drop on Friday 4th August. As everyone flocks towards water for the weekend, we let them know what they are heading to! On roads leading to beaches, marinas, swimming spots and anything else you can think of, we display the message “Sun, Sea, Sand & Sewage”, “Sewage Ahead” or similar!
Every river in this country is polluted.
