On October 7, Extinction Rebellion ACT will be disrupting Commonwealth Bridge as part of an international day of action: the Spring Rebellion. Why? Because our government is failing to protect us from the climate emergency.
The science has been clear for 30 years, and traditional activism hasn’t worked. So we must disrupt business as usual to call for urgent action now.
*** THE PLAN ***
10am – Meet out the front of Albert Hall for a safety briefing and introductory speeches.
11am – We begin our slow march across Commonwealth Bridge.
12-4pm – Enjoy live music, arts & crafts, information sessions, speeches, and other activities.
4pm – We march back to Albert Hall, and for those interested, continue up to Parliament House for a photo op.
