Come to a practical workshop on:

This training is for:
Any local group rebel who deals with / wants to deal with local print and broadcast media with a bit more confidence.
The workshop will enable you to:
🔹produce a press release tailored to your local media, based on an action of your choice, and
🔹deal with the press before and after your action.

3-hour Zoom!?! This is a PRACTICAL fill–in-the-blanks training, with time to write your own Press Release, eat, drink, walk, stretch and ask questions.

By the end of the session, each trainee will have an understanding of (and have made a start) on the following:
🔹Press Release
🔹Quotes
🔹Call to action
🔹a brief for rebels who will be press contacts
🔹How to use images
🔹local media list
🔹Publicity timing strategy
🔹post-publicity jobs for M&M (Media & Messaging)
🔹post-action jobs for non-M&M rebels to support the work you have done!
Some pre-prepared materials will be available for you to adapt in a way that will make your local media interested.
By using the media our actions reach a much wider group than just the passers-by who observe us.
We can sometimes get the readers / viewers who may be interested in XR a route to contact us via an article or image.
With practice, the media can be a very useful tool to engage local politicians.
