Rebel Listeners: Engaged listening tools for rebels

Facing catastrophe and working for rebellion on a daily basis is deeply challenging, and will sooner or later bring up our own hardest personal issues. Ensuring we have space to be connected, supported and heard will be essential to the success of the rebellion. Sustaining All Life offers engaged listening tools to support us as we face the environmental crisis, challenge oppression, and seek to work in close partnership and unity with each other.

This series of workshops will give people a chance to connect with their own personal issues, acquire listening tools to support each other and our important work, and develop their regenerative culture thinking and practice.

The workshops will focus on the following topics:

· Tuesday 3rd September – Facing Climate Emergency: Engaged Listening Tools for Activists and Organisers

· Tuesday 10th September – Facing Climate Emergency: Setting up a listening partnership to sustain ourselves as activists and organisers

· Tuesday 17th September – Activism within an Oppressive System: Listening tools for building unity and challenging division

· Tuesday 24th September – Preparing to Take Action: engaged listening tools to support activists and organisers preparing to take disruptive action (includes ideas and activities to take back to
local XR groups)

· Thursday 3rd October – Working Towards Eliminating the Effects of Racism in Environmental Activism Using Listening Tools
