22 October 2019
12:00 - 14:00
National Maritime Museum, London, United Kingdom
Extinction Rebellion Families
Join us on Tuesday the 22nd from noon at the large map located at the mezzanine of the National Maritime Museum to stage a mass world “love-in”, action in solidarity with the way that climate change is already affecting many parts of the world, especially in the global south.
We will all meet at the map at noon, have lunch together and will stage a “love-in” at 1pm all together. We will form a circle around the map, sing together and have some messages from around the world.
We will also be outreaching to our local community, spreading the message about the climate emergency we are in in a loving and gentle way and inviting them to join us. After the “love in”, we would like to take a picture of our group at the Polly Higgins boat that is on the Museum Grounds and afterwards you are welcome to explore the museum, stay playing at the map, go to the soft play area.
Note: This action is not targeting the Maritime Museum in any way and we are working in collaboration with the Museum to make this action engage with the museum staff and community.
