Save Cubbington Woods - Stop HS2

The Arctic has just recorded record temperatures and our Government ignores the people and continues to bulldoze our Ancient Woodlands and nature reserves.

Contractors have told us,that from next week they will be felling “negligible trees” in Cubbington woods for bore hole drilling.

2 weeks ago at Offchurch, they told us, the landowner and the Police they were only felling 15ft width of mature trees and they cut down 150m of veteran trees that were full of bat roosts and nesting birds.

HS2 and their contractors lied to Parliament, lied to the Woodland Trust and they lie to us.

Enough is enough. This is your countryside and this may be your last opportunity to stand for these trees!

Leamington and the surrounding villages will be blighted forever by HS2. There will be almost no greenspace left to walk to to find peace in nature. This is happening across 125 miles of rural England.

Please join us to march peacefully for our countryside.

History has proven that ordinary people can change corrupt Government, but we must gather in numbers to show our strength of feeling.

This will be a peaceful, 2 to 3 hour, socially distanced walk through the village and countryside
Bring a picnic if the weather is fine

For our kids! Bring a picture of your favourite woodland animal or tree to tie to the fences

If you want to Stop HS2 the time is now!

Chris Packam’s legal challenge in the Court of Appeal is this Wednesday July 8th. Join us to show you care on July 7th.
HS2 is bad for our environment. It’s bad for the taxpayer and it’s bad for democracy.

Join us. Save all our Ancient Woodland – Stand for democracy, Stand for the Trees.
