Talk/Dance: Heading for Extinction and What to do About It

01 July 2019
19:00 - 22:00

The Bridge School, 251 Hungerford Road N7 9LD, London

hosted by

Extinction Rebellion London

For people who are interested in what Extinction Rebellion might mean when they say ‘Tell the truth about the climate crisis and ecological breakdown’, we would like to offer this evening of two half hour talks, some sharing/discussion and also dance to help support ourselves as we digest and consider what it might mean.

Members of Extinction Rebellion (who are also dancers) will share the latest climate science on where our planet is heading, discuss some of the current psychology around climate change and offer some ways forward through the study of social movements.

Open Floor teacher, Sue Rickards of A Call to Dance, will hold the dance. Everyone is welcome, however much or little you know. No previous dance experience is needed – there are no steps to learn or anything like that. It’s just a way to digest, in good company, what we learn and what we feel in response to that.
