This is a call for everyone to take part in “SALON OF LIES”, our next big action of civil desobedience taking place at Brussels’ Autosalon. Together we will denounce the greenwashing of the car industry as well as their destructive practices …

Just imagine:
Saturday 18 January, the day before the last day of the Autosalon in Brussels,
a hundred of rebels in small groups are infiltrating the car fair to perform a swarming of small disruptive actions at different moments and different places, both inside and outside of the exhibition buildings. The security is running in all directions, unable to cover it all. A cat and mouse play among shiny cars and 70.000 visitors… until at the end everyone gets together for a final collective action at the entrance of the fair.
Each group of rebels acts autonomously. A menu of different actions is provided in advance to choose from. Each group has prepared for their own choice of actions, they carry them out as they best see fit, following their own dynamics, their own desires, but all groups contribute to one collective narrative:
“We are here to tell the truth about the car industry, to debunk the lies it keeps telling the public in order to perpetuate its business and increase its profits. The autosalon is the industry’s main propaganda tool, the best place and time to sell lies to the customers about the real ecological impact of individual car mobility. We are here to correct this deceitful image and to disrupt the greenwashing.”

For this action you will need to form a small affinity group of 2 to 6 people. If you are not yet part of an affinity group, you can already ask friends to join you for this action, or come to one of the events that will be organised in your city in the two weeks before the action to meet other people, join existing affinity groups or form a new one!
This action is not a secret action, you can openly talk about it and ask other people to join.

Stel je voor:
Zaterdag 18 januari, de voorlaatste dag van het Autosalon in Brussel,
in kleine groepjes infiltreren honderden rebellen het autosalon. Op verschillende momenten en verschillende plaatsen, zowel binnen als buiten de tentoonstellingsgebouwen, voeren ze een zwerm kleine verstorende acties uit. De beveiliging loopt alle kanten op en is niet in staat om alles onder controle te houden. Een kat- en muisspel tussen glimmende auto’s en 70.000 bezoekers… totdat op het einde iedereen bij elkaar komt voor een laatste collectieve actie bij de ingang van de beurs.
Elke groep rebellen handelt autonoom. Er is keuze uit een vooraf voorzien menu met verschillende acties. Elke groep bereidt zichzelf voor op de eigen keuze van actie, voert die uit zoals ze dat het beste kan, volgens een eigen dynamiek, met eigen wensen, maar alle groepen dragen bij tot één collectief verhaal:
“We zijn hier om de waarheid over de auto-industrie te vertellen, om de leugens te ontkrachten die deze het publiek blijft vertellen om zo haar belangen te beschermen en haar winst te vergroten. Het autosalon is het belangrijkste propagandamiddel van de industrie, de beste plaats en tijd om leugens aan de klanten te verkopen over de werkelijke ecologische impact van individuele automobiliteit. Wij zijn hier om dit bedrieglijke beeld te corrigeren en de greenwashing te verstoren.”

Voor deze actie moet je een kleine affiniteitsgroep van 2 tot 6 personen vormen. Als je nog geen deel uitmaakt van een affiniteitsgroep, kun je nu al vrienden vragen om mee te doen aan deze actie, of kom naar één van de evenementen die in de twee weken voor de actie in jouw stad georganiseerd worden om andere mensen te ontmoeten, je aan te sluiten bij bestaande affiniteitsgroepen of een nieuwe te vormen!
Deze actie is geen geheime actie, je kunt er openlijk over praten en andere mensen vragen om mee te doen.

Ceci est un appel à tous pour participer au “SALON DES MENSONGES”, notre prochaine grande action de désobéissance civile qui aura lieu au Salon de l’Auto de Bruxelles. Imaginez juste un instant:
Samedi 18 janvier, l’avant-dernier jour du Salon de l’Auto,
des centaines de petits groupes se mêlent au Salon pour y mener un essaimage de petites actions perturbatrices à différents moments et à différents endroits, tant à l’intérieur qu’à l’extérieur des bâtiments de l’exposition. Les agents de sécurité courent en tous sens, bien incapables de s’occuper de tous. Un jeu du chat et de la souris parmi les voitures rutilantes et 70.000 visiteurs… jusqu’à ce que tout le monde se réunisse pour une action finale collective à l’entrée du salon.
Chaque groupe agit de façon autonome. Les actions à mener sont choisies parmi un menu d’actions différentes mis à disposition au préalable. Chaque groupe s’est préparé pour les actions choisies et les mène à leur propre manière, selon leur propre dynamique, leur propre désirs. Mais tous contribuent à un seul et même narratif commun:
“Nous sommes ici afin de dire la vérité à propos de l’industrie automobile, de débusquer les mensonges qu’elle continue à raconter au public afin de perpétuer son modèle commercial et augmenter ses profits. Le Salon de l’Auto est le principal outil de propagande du secteur automobile, le lieu et le moment choisis pour vendre à ses clients une image trompeuse des véritables impacts écologiques d’un modèle de mobilité individualiste. Nous sommes ici pour corriger cette image mensongère et pour perturber l’opération de greenwashing.”

Vous aurez besoin de former un petit groupe d’affinité (2 à 6 personnes) pour cette action.Si vous ne faites encore partie d’aucun groupe d’affinité, vous pouvez déjà demander à des amis de se joindre à vous pour l’action, ou alors vous rendre à l’une des soirées qui seront organisées près de chez vous dans les deux semaines précédant l’action pour y rencontrer d’autres personnes, vous joindre à des groupes d’affinité existants, ou en créer un nouveau!
Cette action n’est pas secrète. Vous pouvez en parler ouvertement, et encourager d’autres personnes à y prendre part!
