NVDA Workshop

The climate and ecological crisis is worse than we feared, and the future is more uncertain than ever. The time to act is now… so let’s get prepared!

Come along to our Non-Violent Direct Action (NVDA) workshop, where you will learn about the history of Civil Disobedience, theories of Non-Violence, and various NVDA skills such as how to talk to the police, how to block a road, and how to use your support systems.

This workshop takes 3hrs, and includes 2 x 15 minute breaks – please arrive on time! There will be lots of information to learn, and chances to engage interactively with this information – it’s a good idea to bring a pen and paper. No prior knowledge is needed.

There is a lot of information to learn in this, and we will be signposting other trainings throughout – the key workshops we want you to go to as part of our ‘Road to Rebellion’ are the Know Your Rights trainings, and the Affinity Group Formation Workshops (more information about these will be discussed in the workshop itself).
