Draper Hall, London, United Kingdom

Training - In Person

hosted by

Extinction Rebellion Southwark

Non-violent direct action (NVDA) training for anyone planning to participate in mass civil disobedience with Extinction Rebellion.

Hosted by XR Southwark, open to everyone.

Attendance is free but you must register via Eventbrite as capacity is finite.

Extinction Rebellion is a peaceful international movement addressing the climate crisis through mass non violent direct action (NVDA) to achieve structural change in an attempt to reduce the likelihood of human extinction and ecological collapse.

In this NVDA training you will find out how to take part in Extinction Rebellion actions. The training will cover the practice of non-violent techniques: showing you how to de-escalate tense situations, how to interact with the police, what to do if you get arrested and much more.

The training takes c.3 hours so please bring some food, drinks and feel free to bring vegan snacks to share. It will be more enjoyable if you aren’t thinking about how hungry you are!

There is a kettle and mugs at the venue for hot drinks.

Please email if you have any questions / need to cancel.

The next International Rebellion begins on October 7th in capital cities across the world. We need everyone to participate, so please encourage your friends, family, neighbours and colleagues to come along to NVDA training in the build up. This is quite possibly our last chance to come together and attempt to avert runaway climate catastrophe. Will you be there?
