CocoCollective and Extinction Rebellion are coming together to host an evening of workshops, talks and art blocking, followed by the roots/rock/reggae band, The Majestic.
5-7pm
CocoCollective will be running workshops on up-cycling and tailoring your clothes to fight against the polluting culture of fast-fashion. Running alongside, Extinction Rebellion will be holding an Art Blocker workshop – so please bring your own tee shirts and clothes to print on and customise them with the distinctive Extinction Rebellion messages and symbols.
7-8.30pm
Extinction Rebellion will be giving a ‘Heading for Extinction and What to Do About It’ talk – learn about the science behind the climate emergency, what XR and the School strike movement have achieved so far, and how you can get involved in making change happen.
8.30 – 10pm
To finish off the evening, we have the amazing roots/ reggae band, ‘The Majestic’ playing a live set in support of Extinction Rebellion and Cococollective.
This community event is free – but we would be really grateful of donations towards the upkeep of Lewisham Village and to support the work of Extinction Rebellion.
