??UPDATE – SWARMING CANCELLED??
In light of the unfolding COVID 19 pandemic, Extinction Rebellion Tower Hamlets has taken the difficult decision to cancel our planned swarming action tomorrow. This was due to take place at the end of the East London Climate Summit, which has itself been postponed.

The climate crisis is immediate and devastating, and we are running out of time to prevent its worst effects, yet we feel in this time of extreme stress for many, further disruption to the lives of ordinary people is not justified.

We will be discussing our next steps in the coming days, but will seek to raise awareness of the climate and ecological crisis while working towards community and solidarity in Tower Hamlets.

Join us as we disrupt to demand climate justice!
Alongside groups including Tower Hamlets Climate Action, XR Tower Hamlets will be swarming roads to highlight inaction on climate change, biodiversity loss and climate justice.
Swarming involves blocking traffic for short periods of time. We regret the disruption caused, but feel it necessary in the face of the unfolding climate catastrophe. Will aim to disrupt business as usual to force conversation on these issues.
This event will follow immediately on from the East London Climate Summit – which brings together climate groups from across East London to discuss jobs, climate justice, the Green New Deal and future climate strikes.
